The Season is in Full Swing!

Don't look now! We are a couple of weeks into the season. We harvested some great bucks and delivered many more opportunities than bucks on the ground. We had a great success/opportunity rate even though Hurricane Helene hurt us a bit. The heavy rainfall not only hurt our baits before and during the first few days of the opener but the bumper crop of acorns were also knocked out of the trees with the inclement weather. Needless to say, the sightings slowed a bit because of the abundant acorns on the ground. This was and continues to be some of the largest crop of acorns we have seen on our properties in some time. We have a break before our pre-rut/rut hunts take place, so hopefully, things shift as we anticipate they will. Get ready for your hunt and be prepared for your upcoming deer hunt with us!
